getlearning is different!
Getlearning has been initiated by Clydebank College to develop and deliver e-learning.  In e-learning we are focussing on web-based technologies in offering solutions to learners on-line and providing access to a wealth of material over the internet. The getlearning team want to achieve the following:

Vision
To deliver supported on-line learning to individuals, businesses and organisations.

Aim
This will be achieved through the integration of new technology offering to learners a fully operational Managed Learning Environment to enable individuals; businesses and organisations to access their content at a time and place that is suitable.

Objectives

• To engage learners in the delivery of e-learning
• To enrich the learning process of Learners through e-learning
• To create / deliver on-line content to a recognised getlearning.net standard

The way in which we learn is increasingly being enhanced through the use of new technologies. Thomas McCusker Development Manager for getlearning.net highlights:

Anyone who has picked up a training magazine, within the last few years will have noticed that e-learning dominates the pages and with good reason. E-learning has started to make in-roads into traditional training methods offering flexibility and variety to the learner. Thousands of topics and courses are now available on-line and the software and hardware incorporated through a Managed Learning Environment will enable our administrators and tutors to track and quantify learning.

Within getlearning.net we are dedicated to the e-learner because we recognise and acknowledge that geography is history and distance is now irrelevant, where the learner is located has now become unimportant, learners can now log on anywhere in the world. There is now an opportunity for e-tutors and e-learners to escape the confines of a classroom into a Virtual World....Exciting times indeed!
